Role Overview
The Designer Level I supports project teams across phases of design, contributing to drawings, models, research, and presentations under the guidance of senior staff. This position is foundational to professional development — providing broad exposure to all aspects of practice while building technical proficiency, design sensibility, and a collaborative working style.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams through conceptual design, schematic design, and design development tasks
- Produce drawings, diagrams, physical models, and presentation materials under the direction of senior staff
- Assist with Revit modeling and contribute to drawing sets across project phases
- Conduct research on precedents, materials, codes, and site conditions
- Participate in pin-ups, design reviews, and studio discussions
- Support coordination and documentation tasks as assigned
- Learn studio standards, workflows, and best practices through hands-on collaboration
Qualifications
- 0–3 years of professional experience in an architecture or design studio (including internships)
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's); recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated design potential through academic and/or early professional work
- Working proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Grasshopper and visualization software such as Lumion, Enscape or D5 preferred
- Strong drawing, modeling, and visualization skills
- Eagerness to learn building systems, codes, and construction documentation
- Ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a collaborative studio environment
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
